Godzilla - ゴジラ

from 48.00

Series: Art of Japan

The King of the Monsters. Toho's Pictures created this icon after the wake of the nuclear era. Godzilla movies became a staple of my sci-fi diet growing up. I remember watching all of Godzilla's movies and his battles with his infamous rogue monsters wishing he could be real. ( Really ).

The Gareth Edwards 2014 film erased all the painful memories of the 2001 Matthew Broderick disaster and FINALLY brought Gojira back to form. I practically ran home from the movie to get this started.

Based on the great feedback from the Africa Safari, I decided to use watercolors as a medium to capture the detail of this iconic monster.

Here he stands,  letting out that infamous roar.
